Compassion Week 2024
We are thrilled to invite you to Beacon Light SDA Church's Compassion Week, a special event designed to bless our community with both spiritual encouragement and practical support. Taking place over two weeks in September, this program is all about coming together to uplift one another and provide for the needs of our neighbors. To register, text #compassion to 22300.
What to Expect:
Each evening from September 11th-14th and 18th-21st, we will gather from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for inspiring messages that will strengthen your faith and encourage your heart. But that’s not all—every night, we’ll also be giving away essential items to help families in our community. Whether you’re in need of gas cards, groceries, cleaning supplies, or school supplies, Compassion Week has something for you.
Here’s a breakdown of our giveaways:
- September 11th: Free Gas Cards & Ice Cream
- September 12th: Free Haircuts/Clothing Drive
- September 13th: Free Household Cleaning Supplies
- September 14th: Community Baby Blessing and Luncheon @ 11am
- September 18th: Free Groceries
- September 19th: Free Toiletries/Hygiene Products
- September 20th: Bill Pay Raffle
- September 21st: Flood Baptism Sabbath @11am
Special Events to Highlight
Community Child Dedication and Luncheon – September 14th
On Saturday, September 14th, we will be holding a special Child Dedication service during our 11:00 AM worship. This is a beautiful opportunity for parents to dedicate their infants and toddlers to the Lord, surrounded by the love and prayers of our church family. Following the service, we invite you to a Baby Shower Luncheon at 1:30 PM in our Community Health Kitchen. It’s a time to celebrate these young lives and connect with other families in our community. Flood Baptism Sabbath – September 21st
The following Saturday, September 21st, is our Flood Sabbath, a day dedicated to those who wish to take the next step in their spiritual journey through baptism. If you’ve been feeling the call to publicly commit your life to Christ, this is the perfect opportunity to do so in a supportive and joyous environment.
